How long does a life insurance application take to process?
Many agents do not realize that a life insurance application can take up to 3 months or longer to issue. This is because the insurance company may require additional forms, exams, or information about your member. Typically, once the application and all required information are submitted, the decision is made within 5 business days.
Who will order the exams and/or APS?
SPF for Life will handle all of these items. All you need to do is fill out the application and send to SPF for Life for processing. We take care of the rest!
How do I obtain status on my cases?
There are three ways in which you can obtain status:
- Online: If you are not registered to receive case status online, simply call SPF for Life and request registration.
- By Email: At least once a week, our team will email you a status report of all your open life cases.
- By Phone: You are welcome to call anytime to obtain status on your cases.
I have received the policy, but have not been paid commission?
Even if you have a copy of the policy it still may not yet be issued. You must make certain that there are no outstanding requirements for the policy. The insurance company must have all delivery requirements before they will typically pay commission on the policy.
